When time permits it, I enjoy holding my breath, meditating under water and going spearfishing.
Free diving is not only a hobby, but a source of energy and insight. When one dives into the ocean with a single breath one must surrender completely to the water – become one with it and trust that the body and mind knows how to optimize its resources when the pressure increases. Relaxing in stressful situations is the key – and the insight is extremely valuable in other aspects of life.
My role models in this sport are Stig Severinsen (www.Breatheology.com) and Sara Campbell (www.discoveryourdepths.com), who have taught me how important it is to stay focused on your breathing and inner values when diving into yourself and the depths.
It is highly recommendable if you as a leader want to avoid stress and relax.
